NORWEGIAN SPIRIT (4) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 2.5 lengths into fifth over 6f at Swan Hill. Fitter and sure to run well. CLUX STAR (9) stepped out on her debut over 5f185yards at this track five weeks ago and finished fourth, beaten 4 lengths. Will have a lot more to offer this time. TRAPEZIUM (13) turned in a moderate effort on debut last start when sixth at Cranbourne over 5f, beaten 5.5 lengths. Capable of much more this time. SKELMORLIE (11) returns after four-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a tenth over 7f at Ballarat. Ran fourth in a recent trial at Pakenham Synthetic. Nicely placed and can figure in the finish.
