BACCHUS (7) finished second when resuming two runs back at Turffontein Standside then progressed nicely last time out to score by 1.5 lengths as favourite over 1m at this track. This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form he is one of the chief contenders. WILD INTENT (10) was a narrow winner last time over 1m1/2f at this track with this rider M Van Rensburg aboard. Nice weight drop so he is among the leading chances again. HAWKBILL (4) turned things around last start and got the job done by 2.25 lengths over 1m2f at Turffontein Standside. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. BIRTHRIGHT (8) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at Turffontein Standside two starts back then got the job done by a head last time out over 1m2f at Turffontein Standside. Nicely placed to take this out.
