VULCANITE (1) returns from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Closed off last prep in great form including a dominant win over 1m at Vaal at her most recent appearance. Has a high cruising speed. Will play a major role. SALENIO PENINSULA (4) finished fifth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 7¼f at Vaal, beaten only 0.7 lengths. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is worth serious consideration. MISS LIA (3) finished second two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by 0.7 lengths over 7¼f at Vaal. Finds a tougher race but another win is not out of the question. TOO LATE MY MATE (8) has not been sighted since she finished fourth over 1m at this track on April 27. Definite player.
