MOUNTAIN HIGH (10) has registered three minor placings from three runs this campaign. Produced another good effort last time out when second over 7¼f at Vaal. Must raise the bar but another big run is on the cards. CHIEFTAIN'S SHIELD (1) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 7 lengths when fifth in a 1m2f contest at this track nine days ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. SPIRITO SELVAGGIO (2) finished second, beaten 1.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7¼f at Vaal. Ready to go one better. LIGHTINTHESTORM (5) turned in a better run last start, beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth over 1m1f at this track. Better than recent efforts suggest.
