MAIN DEFENDER (1) disappointed last time when tenth over 1m2f in Group 3 class at this track after a close second at Group 3 level at this track the run prior. Appeals back in trip this time so he is right in this. TEXAS RED (2) was sent out at long odds when resuming last time but ran above expectations to finish second, beaten only a nose, over 7f at this track. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Will prove tough to beat. SILENT WAR (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7¼f at Turffontein Inside, beaten 6 lengths into sixth. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. Going up a level this time but he is up to the challenge. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
