SMELTING (9) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing second and only 1.1 lengths from the winner at the end of 5f. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. TWICE AS WILD (8) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing seventh and beaten 4 lengths starting at 7/2. Nicely placed to turn things around. CALL ME MASTER (3) is back from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 1m at Turffontein Standside. Has to be respected. BREGARDT (2) was in the money two starts back at Vaal but was unable to repeat the effort last time when sixth, beaten 5 lengths, at Vaal over 5f. Nicely placed to turn things around.
