STROKE OF MERCY (6) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into tenth over 5¾f at this track. Fitter and sure to run well. PENDRAGON (7) was sent out favourite but could only finish sixth over 5¾f at this track last time. Prior to that had been racing well, collecting two minor placings on end. Has a high cruising speed. Will give a great sight. MUNCHKIN (2) produced a good run two starts back to finish second but failed to live up to market expectations last time when out of the placings at Vaal over 6f. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. MIDNIGHT FUSION (3) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 5f at Vaal. Best figures measure up nicely. Can play a significant role.
