POPULIST (3) has been racing well this campaign on the dirt, finishing second when resuming at this track then scoring at this track over 1m a week-and-a-half ago. Going very well and can win again. MARQUET MALICE (9) was in the firing line on the turn and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Goes up a rung or two but he is worth serious consideration. ANTIBES (11) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 13 lengths, over 1m1/4f at Pleasanton (Dirt). Another bold showing is expected. ABRAAJ MIRAGE (1) did well to score two runs ago then turned in a decent effort last time out when 11th over 6f at this track, beaten half a length. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
