IL CAPITANO (6) has been in the placings his past two starts, finishing second over 1m at this track (Dirt) last time out. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Leading contender. LETTHERAINSETTLEIT (2) did a great job to score by 0.3 lengths over this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Likely to be there at the finish again. VANTAGE POINT (1) was in the money two starts back at Golden Gate Fields but was unable to repeat the effort last time when eighth, beaten 13 lengths, at Golden Gate Fields (Synthetic) over 1m. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he has the ability to mix it with them. DUAL THREAT (3) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a third over 1m1/2f at Santa Anita (Dirt) when beaten 5 lengths. Commendable record at this trip with a win and three minor placings and deserves respect.
