FED GRANT (6) finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 6f at Emerald Downs five months ago. I Enriquez has registered two minor placings when on board. Leading contender. NORTHERN COCKTAIL (4) was in contention all the way and fought on for third last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt), making it two minor placings in a row. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. HOT ROD JIMMY (2) is yet to break through in nine runs. Finished fifth at his last appearance over 6f at Golden Gate Fields (Synthetic) on January 21 after he was well back on straightening. Expected to feature in the finish this time. WOLF'S LIFE (1) is a 16-start maiden who finished sixth, beaten 18 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Settles back early but winds up late. Can feature in the finish.
