VADAMOS QUEEN (3) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish eighth over 1m2 1/2f at Cairns. Well placed and expected to feature. SPIRIT MEISTER (5) fought on well for third last start over 6f at this track, making it two minor placings in a row. Distance specialist with four wins and 13 minor placings from 25 runs and has to be included. DUSKY DAMSEL (7) didn’t threaten when resuming last start over 6f at this track, finishing tenth, beaten 6 lengths. Has a decent second up record. Can do better this time.
