CATMISS (14) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Rockhampton, beaten 7 lengths into seventh after being in contention on the corner. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within her grasp. LAKE VARNA (5) is returning from a lay-off of eight months. Finished fourth at Gosford over 5f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Steven Royes. Fitter for a minor placing in a recent Muswellbrook trial. Will be tuned-up for this and is expected to run well. MAGIC INTENT (8) took advantage of the good draw and led for much of the way last start before being run down in the straight, finishing fourth and beaten 3 lengths over 4¾f at Cairns. Another bold showing is expected. SUPERONIC (7) returns from a lay-off of four months and is having her first run for a new yard. Finished seventh at Sunshine Coast Poly over 5f when when resuming last time in work. Ran fourth in a trial at Deagon over 5¼f recently.
