BONES (4) started at 11/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths at this track over 6f. Worth noting Jackson Murphy goes aboard. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of running a bold race. ASPEN LAD (5) was well supported when resuming last time out over 5f at Home Hill and proved too strong, scoring by a long neck. SMART IMAGE (1) resumed over 5½f in the LR Chief De Beers Quality at Doomben last start where he drifted back early and didn’t threaten, finishing 11th. Has a decent second up record. Expected to run well. CHILLI JAM (6) pushed forward and was a determined winner by a long neck over 6f at this track last time out. This is her optimum trip with four wins from six starts and cannot be taken lightly.
