SPRING'S GIFT (3) finished sixth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 7f at this track, beaten only a long neck after being prominent at the bend. Looks well placed so expect another big run. HUGHIE VUITTON (5) is a 10-start maiden who finished fifth, beaten 7 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at this track. Fitter and capable of taking this out. IT'S BEEN A TREK (1) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then he was always well out of his ground and was beaten 8 lengths when sixth over 6¼f at Cairns a week-and-a-half ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. SNUGGLE BANG YAHOO (2) finished 4 lengths from the winner in fifth at his most recent outing over 5½f at Mackay. Worth plenty of thought.
