NEW MAHER (2) finished 1.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 6¾f at Warwick, an improvement on his when resuming fifth at this track the run before. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. ARCHER'S GAME (4) was a winner over 7f at Dalby last time, racing on the pace before getting the upper hand and scoring by a head. Form this track is hard to knock with three wins from nine starts. Bold showing expected. POWERFUL EAGLE (3) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 1.75 lengths away in third over 1m at Sunshine Coast. Will push forward and is among the chances. VISUAL ELEMENT (7) was sent out at long odds when resuming last time but ran above expectations to finish fourth, beaten only 0.6 lengths, over 6½f at this track. Sound record at this distance with two wins and two minor placings from five runs and is one of the better hopes.
