DEVIL'S RITE (3) started favourite last time at Gatton and was beaten a head into second over 4f65yards when he was handy all the way. The extra journey should play into his hands. Worth following up. FAST FUSION (1) settled well back then made some inroads and finished 2 lengths away in fifth last time out over 4f at Ipswich two-and-a-half weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Should be poised just off the lead. Will prove tough to beat. MACHINE HEAD (6) lines up on the back of a 3.5 lengths fourth over 5f at this track. One of the genuine contenders.
