ARTIE BEATSOME (5) resumed over 5¼f at this track last time out and finished second, beaten a nose. Rates highly on best form and should go very well. JACK BE LUCKY (1) scored two starts ago at Esk then struggled against stiffer opposition last time when seventh over 6f at Doomben, beaten 4 lengths. Worth including in this easier race. BEAU WITNESS (3) held on well to finish second last time out over 6f at Doomben after leading for much of the way. Well-placed and expected to feature again. VOULAIT (8) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 6 lengths away in 12th over 5½f at Ipswich. No surprise to see him in the frame.
