ARDERN (2) is back after a break of five months. At the last run before the layoff she finished eighth over 6f at Sunshine Coast. Launched last prep with a minor placing at Doomben over 6f. Has trialled well leading into this. Looks the one to beat. SMASH 'N' GRAB (10) ran a bold race over this journey last start, racing on the pace and sticking on strongly to finish 1.5 lengths away in third at Dalby. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. STELLER EAGLE (11) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when she was beaten 6 lengths into sixth over 4f at Ipswich. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. BASIL'S GIFT (8) finished third last start over 5f at Dalby, beaten 3.5 lengths. Ready to go a couple better.
