PROFESSOR NICK (8) is a three-start maiden who missed the placings when resuming but has since consolidated with two straight placings, the latest over 5½f at this track (Dirt). This looks a nice assignment. JAC'S EMPIRE (4) could only manage fourth on debut then improved last start but found a couple better over 5½f at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in contention on the bend.
