Faces an easier assignment so he is a major player. VERNON'S BEST (1) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6f at this track, beaten 2.25 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Looks well placed so expect another big run. STRIKE PLATE (4) was popular in betting last time out but disappointed in finishing fourth over 6f at this track (Dirt), beaten 19 lengths. Looks to be in the right race to play a big role. COLORFUL LAD (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at this track, beaten 19 lengths into seventh. No surprise to see him in contention.
