SMOKIN JOE (5) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 5f at this track (Dirt) when second, beaten 1.75 lengths. Likely improver so he shouldn't be a maiden for long. COLONEL COOPER (3) looks close to a win after finishing in the money at both runs, the latest when third at this track (Dirt) over 5f. Well placed and a great chance to break through. MISTER ZAZU (8) didn't do a lot on debut two-and-a-half weeks ago, finishing 6 lengths from the winner in fourth over 5f at this track (Dirt). Will take a lot from that experience. One of the main contenders. TRUTH N SOUL (1) has been freshened up since he finished fifth over 5½f at Listed level at Belterra Park (Dirt) five-and-a-half weeks ago. Deserves another chance.
