HOMBRE (3) finished fourth when resuming two runs back then progressed nicely last time out after being in the firing line on the bend to score by 3 lengths as public elect over 5f at this track. Meeting a deeper field this time but he can go back-to-back. GUNMETAL (8) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing seventh and beaten 7 lengths starting at 6/1. Finds a nice race and can make amends. BIJARA (12) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 12 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when seventh over 6f at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths. Likely contender with strong prospects. INDIAN THUNDER (9) strode forward early from his wide draw last start over 7¼f at Quirindi only to fade late and finish eighth. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
