MONGOLIAN APPLE (2) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 14 starts. Did a good job last start to finish second over 1m at this track, beaten 0.3 lengths. Nicely placed to figure in the outcome. THE BIG CALICO (5) found the line nicely to grab third last time out over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Expected to be there at the business end. CORONOVA (1) finished second at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m1/2f at this track (Turf), finishing 3 lengths back in sixth. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. AXCEL (3) resumes after a break of eight months. Hoping for a repeat of his debut win over 6f at this track to kick off last prep. Can make his presence felt while fresh.
