FRENCH EMPIRE (8) is a two-start maiden who looks close to a win after placing at both runs, the latest when second over 6f at this track. Should camp just off the leaders. Expected to be in the finish. TRAPEDO (13) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish 2 lengths away in fourth over 6f at Doomben. Was outdashed but got going late and the extra ground looks a big plus. Expected to prove tough to stop. STRIKE THE HEART (12) is progressing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Doomben over 6f. Well placed this line-up and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. SILVIO DANTE (5) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6¾f at Ipswich when he made late ground, beaten 1.5 lengths. Should take a lot from that hit-out. Suitably placed so anticipating another strong effort.
