WINSOME STAR (1) is struggling to break through but has been around the mark lately, last start finishing tenth over 1m at Flemington. Great chance to break through. MERCIAN (4) broke through for his maiden win over 5f at this track last time. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Looks well placed and he is right in the mix again. AGED CARE (9) got off the mark over 5½f at Grafton last start, scoring by 1.5 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. BANANA SLIDE (6) is a promising type who finished in the placings over 6f at Doomben at her last appearance on February 28 the only run of that campaign. Sharpened up by a recent trial placing. Goes well when fresh including a win and one minor placings. Won't find this assignment as tough. Sure to be thereabouts.
