EXCEEDAQA (6) showed good early speed last start on debut and fought on well to hold third, beaten 2 lengths, over 5½f at Doomben. Likely improver who is expected to be in the finish. ALPINE RAIDER (1) was well in the market on debut last time out and ran well but found a couple better over 4f at Ipswich. Leading player with plenty of improvement in store. MISHY (8) made progress last time out, finishing 4 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 6f at Doomben. Finds a suitable race and can take the next step and salute. TOP ROOSTER (5) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then he settled well back and was beaten 4.5 lengths when fourth in a 4f contest at Ipswich a week-and-a-half ago. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish.
