ARTISSI (5) is yet to break through after four career starts. Could only manage to finish sixth last time out over 5¼f at Oakbank following a minor placing at Clare over 6f the run prior. Won't get too many better chances to open her account. VALIEVA (7) settled towards the tail then wound up strongly to finish 4.5 lengths away in third when resuming last start over 5½f at Murray Bridge. Will be a major player again. SMASHING ACTION (10) is on a 10-day back-up after finishing in the money over 6½f at Bordertown. Has a wide gate to overcome but is among the winning hopes. GILDED AGE (2) resumes from a lay-off of four months. Could only manage to finish ninth at the latest run over 1m at this track. Nicely placed and can figure in the finish.
