ASAWIN (6) showed early speed from a good draw when returning from a break last time and battled on to finish eighth, beaten 2.5 lengths, over 6f at Mornington. Likely to measure up. MARNOO (1) was in the money two starts back at Donald but was unable to repeat the effort last time when tenth, beaten 6 lengths, at Geelong over 6f131yards. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. VERBOSITY (3) finished fourth last time out over 5¾f at Nhill, beaten 4.5 lengths. Has a good record at this journey with two wins from five starts. Everything points to a big run. RAYMOND'S REWARD (7) was last at the races when he finished seventh over 7½f at Ballarat Synthetic on July 9. Sure to make his presence felt.
