SILENT ALERT (3) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound second over 5½f at Benalla after being in the firing line on the corner. Nicely placed to take this out. TRUSTING YOU (5) was never in contention last time over 5½f at Ararat when he finished ninth, beaten 7 lengths. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. WHITSON (10) gave away a big start at the top of the straight last start and finished 4 lengths from the winner in fifth over 5f at Echuca. Solid top-three chance on his best figures. PRINCE OF SYNERGY (2) is a two-start maiden who finished seventh, beaten 5.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Werribee. Fitter and with blinkers applied he makes plenty of appeal.
