EL AMIGOS (1) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 0.6 lengths over 7f177yards at Mt Gambier after being prominent at the turn. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. MOXATATION (5) missed the placings two runs back then settled well back last start when 5.5 lengths away in eighth over 1m1 1/4f at Avoca. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. LAURION (14) did little and finished 8 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1m2f at Manangatang last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Tatura the run before. Ideally placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. GRAND ILLUSION (2) doesn't win very often but ran a strong race last time out over 1m1f at Gunbower, finishing third and beaten 0.7 lengths. Well placed and should be about the mark.
