SMART ELISSIM (3) hasn't won recently but looks close to a breakthrough based on his last start third at Echuca over 6f when beaten 1.4 lengths. Well placed and sure to run well. GHIDI (14) hit the frame two starts ago at Bendigo but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 6 lengths over 5f122yards at Kyneton after being prominent at the corner. Has the ability to figure prominently. ELLMAKNIFICO (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was never in contention over 1m at Moe, beaten 7 lengths into eighth. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he can find the winners' list. MAGIC EDITION (8) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Bendigo, finishing third and only 1.5 lengths from the winner at the end of 5½f. Sure to be in the mix.
