DOUGAL MCKEEN (19) finished third when resuming at this track then couldn't repeat the dose last time when fourth at Moe over 1m when beaten 3.5 lengths. Blinkers added this time. Great chance to break through. AMERICAN RUSS (1) failed to figure again last time over 1m at Bendigo, beaten 7 lengths into tenth. Should be prominent from the outset. Winning claims on best figures. ZE BEE NINE (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 7f at Sale. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
