HOMELAND (3) has been in the betting at both starts but has failed to break through. Most recently finished fourth over 6½f at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. Must respect recent market confidence so give him another chance. DASH BY (5) debuted a week-and-a-half ago when she finished ninth over 6½f at this track, beaten 5 lengths. Should be thereabouts. APACHE JACK (1) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Dubbo, beaten 2.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Fitter so a likely improver.
