NEW PHAROAH (2) is a locally trained maiden galloper who hasn't raced since finishing 5 lengths back in sixth over 7½f in the LR The Phoenix (Doomben Slipper) at Eagle Farm nine months ago. Sharpened for this with a placing in a recent trial. Expected to feature. NETTLES (12) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Wyong, beaten 2.25 lengths. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. ART VOLANT (3) met with solid support last start over 5½f at Wyong when sixth, beaten 3 lengths. Won't find this as tough. Should measure up. SCORPION JACK (10) resumed two-and-a-half weeks ago over 6f at Nowra and was only beaten 1.75 lengths into fifth. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time.
