ZIP OM (1) didn't do a bad job after being in the firing line on the corner to finish 0.8 lengths away in third last start over 5f at Del Mar. That followed a win on debut at Del Mar. Tackling a more suitable race so he is a leading contender. MOON ICE (4) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 5f at Del Mar (Turf), finishing third and beaten 1.5 lengths. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and four minor placings. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. PIPER'S CAUSEWAY (3) was close to breaking through last start when beaten 0.3 lengths into second over 5f at Del Mar (Turf) after being in the firing line all the way. Ideally placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. SUPERNAL (6) was beaten 1.75 lengths into fourth in a 5f contest at Del Mar last time out. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
