EXULTATION (6) last appeared when successful by 0.1 lengths over 6½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt) three months ago, the only time he went to the races last prep. Has a strong record here at this journey with three wins from six runs. A bold showing is expected. Group 3 placegetter GIVE ME THE LUTE (8) started favourite last time at Del Mar (Turf) and was beaten a nose into second over 5f after he got a long way back in the run. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Right in the mix. MY SUMMER DREAM (11) has enjoyed a let-up of seven weeks since he won when resuming over 5f at Del Mar (Turf), scoring by 1.3 lengths. Fitter for that last hitout and another big run will not surprise. Group 2 winner WHATMAKESSAMMYRUN (10) last appeared five-and-a-half weeks ago over 1m at Del Mar when he finished fourth. This is his first run for the Doug F O'neill stable.
