CARVER (1) returned from a lay-off five weeks ago when it was prominent at the bend before being beaten 5 lengths into fifth over 1m at this track. Strips fitter and can take this out. KEEN TO GO (4) last appeared when he finished second over 1m at Del Mar (Dirt) on August 5. Sure to make his presence felt. WHAT A DUDE (5) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 0.6 lengths over 1m1f at this track (Turf) after being in contention on the bend. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to figure in the finish. ST IGNACIO (8) resumes in a similar race to his last run 12 weeks ago when ninth, beaten 6 lengths. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
