SPECIAL CLUB (4) got off the mark with an impressive maiden win last time out over 5f at this track (Turf). J J Hernandez was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Big chance to go back-to-back. BEER MONEY (7) was prominent at the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 6f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. SMOKEM EZ (2) returns from a lay-off of nine months and has its first try on a turf track. Opened last campaign with a seventh over 5½f in Listed grade at Del Mar (Dirt). Has ability and should be right in the finish. REFOCUS (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
