ASHCROFT (3) made progress last time out, finishing 2.2.5 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 7f at this track after being in contention on the corner. Nicely placed to take this out. DURAN (5) returned from a lay-off four weeks ago when he was beaten 13 lengths into sixth over 7f at this track. Fitter and sure to run well. LAKE SUPERIOR (1) impressed last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished 2.5 lengths from the winner in second over 1m at this track after being prominent at the turn. Likely improver with strong prospects. THEISMANN (2) was safely held when fifth on debut last start over 7f at this track (Dirt). Tackles a longer journey this time. Capable of a much better performance.
