Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Among the leading chances. ROSE MADDOX (5) saluted at the first run back from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Listed level at this track (Turf), scoring by 0.1 lengths. Has been given a let-up of five weeks since that outing. Group 1 placegetter BIG POND (2) was right in contention when they turned for home and kept finding to finish second last start over 7f in the G1 La Brea Stakes at this track (Dirt), beaten 0.1 lengths. Finds a more suitable contest and can feature in the finish again. ROSE DAWSON (4) raced in a Listed Race last time on turf when a 2.25 lengths fifth over 6½f at this track. That came on the back of a second on dirt at Del Mar the run prior. Drops back in grade. Must be respected.
