THE BALLIN (10) faced the starter for the first time last start and was just fair in finishing eighth at this track (Dirt) over 1½f, beaten 4 lengths. Senior rider aboard. Can improve sharply and may be worth following up. FAST VALENTINO STORM (4) is a two-year-old colt by A Dashing Valentine out of Fast Dashin Storm stepping out on debut for the Fidel Perez stable. Should acquit himself well. Watch for a positive market lead. GOOD CANDY JESS (9) faced the starter for the first time and finished eighth last start at this track (Dirt) over 1½f, beaten 4 lengths. Top-three chance with that run under her belt.
