DOC'S BOLERO (4) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at this track, beaten 2.25 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. VALDINA DREAMS (8) sat just off the speed and fought on well to finish second when resuming last start at this course and distance. Sure to be thereabouts. WINNY'SSPECIALSTAR (6) is back from a lay-off of five-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 5½f at Gillespie County Fairground (Dirt). Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. SPARRA (3) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at this track, beaten 15 lengths. Fitter and sure to run well.
