NEVER LET ME GO (11) is yet to break through after 11 starts but not far off a win. Placed in a then missed the frame but was thereabouts last time over 6f at Bairnsdale. Overdue and looks a great chance to open winning account. PRESERVATOR (6) finished 1.4 lengths from the winner in fourth last start after being prominent at the corner over 6f at Bairnsdale, an improvement on his when resuming sixth at Bairnsdale the run before. Facing a tougher assignment but he is worth another chance. SHOT AT THE NIGHT (8) has been freshened up since he was safely held in 13th over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside six weeks ago. Will find this easier. Has winning claims. MAGIC AURA (13) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 6 lengths away in sixth over 5f at Bairnsdale. Better than recent efforts suggest.
