MANHATTAN THUNDER (2) started at 9/1 last time on the back of a win at Moonee Valley two starts ago but was below his best, finishing eighth over 5f at Flemington. Finds a nice race and can get the job done. MANSIERE (4) is back at the races for the first time since September 22. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 4f190yards at Swan Hill. One of the genuine hopes in the race. GUERRERA (9) was in contention on the corner and finished third last time over 5f at Sandown-Hillside when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 4 lengths. Won't find this as tough so she is a major player. MAGIC DRUM (1) had been in top form landing two consecutive wins but last start missed the frame when fifth over 6f at this track. Has a win and two minor placings at this journey from four starts and is not to be discounted.
