MONARCHS BRAE (8) got home by just 0.7 lengths at his latest appearance over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury. Down in the weights this time so he is a leading contender again. VINCENZO (7) finished 4 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1m at Tamworth two weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Up a notch here but should be in the finish. FATHER'S DAY (3) is racing well without winning. Last start finished tenth, beaten 121 lengths, over 1m4f at this track. Fair record at this trip with a win and one minor placings. Among the chances again. BLACKCOMB (9) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish 2.5 lengths away in fourth over 1m1f at Randwick. One of the main contenders.
