SARAQAEL (1) was an impressive winner last time over 5½f at Mackay, stalking the pace before lengthening nicely to score by 2.5 lengths. Among the top chances again. POWER CHIC (3) was a winner over 5½f at this track last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by 0.6 lengths. Will be tough to hold out again. BITTER SPIRIT (2) is a two-year-old gelding on debut from the stable of Clinton Taylor. By Spirit Of Boom from Gin 'N' Bitters. Looks forward enough after a Rockhampton trial win. Any push in betting should be respected. TEN PINS (5) is a first-starter by Brave Smash out of Voodoo Lady. Impressive winner at only trial. Should be competitive with the blinkers going straight on.
