PENMAN (10) returns after a lay-off of six-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5½f at this track. One of the genuine hopes in the race. PRETTY SLICK (1) raced on the pace last start and lifted strongly to hold third, beaten 1.1 lengths, over this journey at this track. Facing a tougher assignment but she is capable of another big run. BARNEY RABBLE (2) returns from a layoff of three-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at this track. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. CALL ME MARILYN (8) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten a long neck, over 5¼f at this track. Well-placed and can feature in the finish.
