RED DEFCON (3) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race when she did her best work late and finished 5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 6¾f at Ipswich. Finds a more suitable contest and can take this out. FINE SHOT (1) is a genuine type with five minor placings from seven starts this campaign. Continued the trend last time out when third over 6½f at this track after he was prominent throughout. Meets a stronger field but he is up to the task. PARADE GROUND (5) finished 2.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 5¼f at this track two weeks ago as 2/1 favourite. Steps up in journey. Can play a big role. IT'SMEMARIO (8) produced a reasonable effort when third last start over 6¾f at Warwick. That followed a win at Toowoomba the start prior. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
