GRANDSONSAM (1) made progress last time out, finishing 3.5 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1m1/2f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Goes up a rung or two but he is up to the task. CODE JORGIE (3) was well fancied last start over 6½f at this track (Dirt) when third, beaten 4 lengths. Has a decent record at this track. Will prove tough to beat. LEVIATHAN AXE (5) made progress last time out, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1m1/2f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. The engagement of F Wethey Jr is noteworthy. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. E D'ORO (2) was among the placings on the turf over 1m at this track in a but couldn't find the top-three on the same surface last time out, finishing seventh over 1m at this track. Well worth another chance returning to the dirt this time.
