FRANZ (3) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at this track (Dirt) over 6f. Tackling a more suitable race so he is all set to build on that latest effort. HE BLUE BAYOU (1) turned in a modest performance when seventh last time out over 6f at this track, beaten 27 lengths. That followed a win at Fair Meadows at the previous outing. Beautifully placed and is sure to bounce back to form. MINGUS (4) was in contention on the bend and finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 5.5 lengths. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to take this out. SLEW'S LIAISON (5) finished midfield when resuming from a break last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 8 lengths when well supported. Should be poised just off the lead. In the mix.
